Water Awareness Day 2015

Each year, Santa Margarita Water District hosts its Water Awareness Day event, a family-friendly event where adults and children are able to learn more about water use efficiency and local supply reliability through a variety of crafts, water education presentations and tours. The event is held in the spring to celebrate the state of California’s recognition of May as “Water Awareness Month.”

This year’s event will be held Saturday, May 2, 2015, at the District offices at 26111 Antonio Parkway in Rancho Santa Margarita.  The event runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.  Customers are invited to enjoy a day of fun and learning with a hands-on tide pool exhibit, water efficient irrigation and native plant displays, water presentations, games and crafts, and music and face painting.  Tours of the Chiquita Wastewater Treatment Plant are also offered. Click here to view a photo gallery of past events or click the flyer below for more information.
