SMWD has two weather stations connected to the California Irrigation Management and Information System (CIMIS) which provides 24/7 monitoring of local weather. The District's budget-based tiered rate structure uses daily evapotranspiration (ETo) data based on an account's billing cycle to calculate the outdoor water budget.
