SMWD has developed standards, guidelines, and example drawings to outline the minimum standards and requirements the District will accept for final Record Drawing submissions. Engineering consultants, contractors, and developers should review this information prior to beginning and submitting any drawings to the District to ensure that the eventual record drawing format, datum, and content will meet District standards.
It is the consultant’s, contractor’s, and developer’s responsibility to meet these guidelines in a timely fashion to allow for scheduled turnover of utility infrastructure and to facilitate timely updates to the District’s Geographic Information System (GIS) for utilities atlas mapping. Failure to meet included guidelines may impede the final Record Drawing submittal approval process.
