When Laura was a member of the San Juan Capistrano City Council (2008-2012), she represented the Council on various water boards: Board Member and Vice Chair of the San Juan Basin Authority, a Board Member of the South OC Wastewater Authority and Member of the South OC Watershed Management Area.

Since retiring from the City Council, Laura has continued to be active fighting to protect the city’s historical assets and the downtown and continued her interest in water.

As a business owner, Laura is an advocate of entrepreneurship and small businesses.  
 
She has an undergraduate degree from University of California, Santa Barbara in political science and a Master of Science degree in taxation from Robert Morris University in PA.
 
Laura is widowed but blessed with wonderful friends and family, including 3 grown daughters, and 5 grandchildren.
